Love Spring!

This. . .this is why I love Spring above all other seasons.  The gaiety of color truly gladdens my heart and the resurrection of life lifts my spirit.  I eagerly await for buds to transform barren bushes into lacy green veils and brown swatches of ground to part making way for these tiny miracles.

My crocuses have come and gone.  Their memory still makes me smile.  Soon the Lily of the Valley will  appear with their fragrant blooms.  These will be followed by azaleas, rhododendrons, hydrangeas, and  flowering trees, dressing my property in a regal gown.  Nature is so beautiful and awe inspiring!

Willkommen der Frühling
(Welcome Spring)
I hope I have that right, otherwise I think I might have ticked off a bunch of Germans.  Being of German decent, my great grandmother would be upset if I did.

  1. I love your photos, and I love this time of year best, too. Except for the part where my whole body hurts from raking and cleaning up the yard! Over here I am eagerly awaiting the tulips and the lilacs.

    1. I haven't gotten around to that yet. I just count raking as the exercise I keep promising to do. lol

Ohhh I love lilacs, unfortunately I don't have any. Enjoy them for me too when they finally bloom, Lynne.

      Thanks for coming by.

  2. Such beautiful sentiments and photos. I feel as you do about spring. I can't seem to stop myself from looking out my windows at my colorful little garden. We have rich burgundy pansies, yellow daffodils, purple hyacinths... if I take off my glasses and look at them, they become a stunning mosaic of happy spring colors. So beautiful. And the fragrance of the hyacinths... when I smell that I know spring has come at last. So lovely. Thanks for this post. It made me smile. Happy Spring!

    1. Thank you. Happy Spring to you too, Debbie. You're garden sounds beautiful. We had two hyacinths. We think one might have been eaten by a deer because a bunch of vegetation surrounding it, looks like it was cut or something.

      Thanks for commenting.

  5. Didn't it feel like we skipped spring for like 2 years?! Last year, it was like the winter went right into summer and flowers barely had a chance to bloom properly but this year...this year spring has sprung in the fashion I remember. Nothing like the dogwood trees this time of year :)

    1. Yeah it seems Spring is making up for the past. Dogwoods are beautiful when in bloom.
      Thanks for popping in Tuere.
