Winter's Gone

Well with the passing of Easter I guess it's safe to say that we're not going to get any snow. So I wanted to share this shot from two winters ago with you.

I know it might sound crazy but I like the cold weather and snow. Of course not a prolonged cold or an immense amount of snow but just the right combo to make me appreciate Spring.

How do you feel? If you didn't have as harsh a winter as you usually get did you miss it? What's your favorite season?

  1. Great pic, Donna! I'm not a big fan of cold weather. I'm in Texas so we don't get a lot of snow but I appreciate it when we get it. At least until it turns to slush and ice and causes everyone to behave like idiots on the roads. LOL My favorite time of year is Fall. I love the smell, the feel and the colors. :-)

  2. Well, I 'm a big baby - hate the cold and despise the heat. So, I guess I'm living exactly where I should be? In the San Francisco Bay Area where the climate is mild pretty much all year. We don't know what snow is unless we head to the mountains and a heat wave for us is in the 80's.
    But, hey, I love it!

  3. In Texas, we have very long, hot summers. My favorite seasons are the very end of Fall (when it starts to get cool) and the beginning of spring (when it's not yet hot).

I used to really enjoy winter, but I don't anymore. Winter here is so damp that it makes my bones hurt. Maybe I am getting old?

  4. Thanks ladies for responding. :)
Spring is my favorite. I love watching everything coming to life, the trees budding and all the colors.

Catie, I hate to tell you but no one is getting younger. lol

Patricia you're not really that far from the mountains, right? So you could still see and play in it.

Glad you like the pic,Rhonda. I like playing in the snow.

  5. My sons would love to get enough snow to make something like that! Living in Texas, freezing weather and snow don't come all that often. My favorite season is spring. I love the warmer weather; in Texas it's hot enough to go to the beach but not so hot the sand burns your feet; and bluebonnets everywhere. Plus, the birds, the blooming, the ____ (fill it in, there's a long list). Thanks, Donna!

  6. Hey Jullie I'm with you about Spring. Summer is my least favorite season. Once it starts rising over 80 I start to wilt. Maybe we all should visit Patricia in San Fran, huh?

  7. To be honest with you, with the price of oil these days, I did NOT miss the harsh, colder weather this past season. With that said, I'm a little more fearful of what it may mean for the environment as far as global warming is concerned. Here's to hoping that the weather's truly cyclical as some have hypothesized...O_o
