? ? ?

I was sitting here trying to think of what to write when the following popped into my mind, so I figured I'd throw it out there. If no one responds, oh well, nothing ventured nothing gained, right?

Here’s the scenario: You’re dying. But you don’t want to go yet. How would you persuade God or your concept of supreme being to change his/her/it's mind? Or would you not even try?

I’ll give you some time to think about it. Get back to me when you have an idea. Meanwhile this is conjuring some images for a story, which I think I’ll explore. Maybe I can get those synapses to stop partying for awhile to help me out here. (You'd understand this last sentence if you read my previous post. : ) )

  1. Wow, not only do I need to face a rainy/cloudy Monday, I have to think SERIOUS thoughts? Gee, thanks, Donna! Just kidding. Great blog topic. I would be honest with God (because He knows all, anyway, right? He could see through my lies) and admit I have screwed up, not paid attention to those more unfortunate than myself, not made any effort to volunteer or make life better for those who are in a tough jam or who are suffering, and tell Him if He let me stick around, I would do a lot better in that regard. I would also let Him know that I have just begun to write inspirational stories, with a Christian worldview, and perhaps we could hold off on my demise so that I could complete some of that work. Sounds good, right? And, tell those synapses to put down the beer and chips. And get to work.

  2. Yeah sounds good. And it better truthful because he can see into your heart and know if you're giving him a line or not. That's the thing about a supreme being with his/her/its mystical insight, you can't fool them.

What's that saying? You can fool some of the people all of the time and all the people some of the time but you can't fool the Creater at all. (Ok, so I took some liberties. My synapses are passing around a bottle of tequila) :) Only kidding.
